CLEVELAND, TN – A school bus taking children to Black Fox Elementary collided with a tree in the McDonald area yesterday morning, News Channel 9 reports. Fortunately, no one appears to have been seriously injured.
The collision happened on Brymer Creek Road at about 7 a.m. yesterday morning, when the bus’s driver attempted to avoid a deer that had dashed in front of her. The bus ran off the right side of the roadway and crashed into a tree.
A representative of Bradley County Schools told the news service that while there hadn’t been any serious injuries as a result of the crash, there had been “minor scrapes.” That person does not appear to have clarified that statement.
We will update this blog post should that information change.
