COLUMBIA, TN – Three people were injured in a fire that broke out at an apartment building in the West Meade area of Columbia yesterday, WKRN reports.
Firefighters received multiple reports of a fire having broken out at a nine-unit apartment located at 132 Brannon Court on Tuesday morning. They arrived to find flames pouring out of the building, and quickly began pulling trapped residents from the blaze.
Three people were hospitalized following the incident, including a 64-year-old woman who is recovering from critical injuries at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
According to WKRN, about 30 firefighters from six companies responded to the two-alarm blaze.
