COTTONTOWN, TN – One man was killed as the result of a single-vehicle collision just north of Cottontown late Tuesday night.
According to Smokey Barn News, the crash occurred at about 11:20 p.m. along Highway 25, just north of the intersection with West Briggs Road.
Investigators with THP say the 46-year-old male driver failed to negotiate a turn and skidded off the roadway. His 2009 Tacoma collided with a tree before becoming fully engulfed in flames.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
