COOPERTOWN, TN – Two people were hospitalized Sunday morning following a two-vehicle collision on Highway 49 between Coopertown and Springfield, local media reports.
A silver sedan and a black SUV collided head-on near Hwy 49’s intersection with Mt. Zion Road at approximately 6 a.m. on May 23. Fire rescue had to extricate one of the victims from his vehicle.
Emergency responders transported a 20-year-old man to NorthCrest Medical Center in stable condition, and a 26-year-old man to Skyline Medical Center in serious but stable condition. The report did not say which driver was at fault.
