NASHVILLE, TN – A man died and eight individuals, including six children, were hospitalized after a crash on Briley Parkway Wednesday night.
According to Fox 17 Nashville, the crash occurred at about 8:40 p.m. in the southbound lanes of the roadway, near the intersection with Airways Boulevard.
Investigators believe the 25-year-old male driver was traveling north in the southbound lanes of the parkway when his Nissan Sentra collided head-on with a Chevrolet Malibu.
The driver of the Nissan was pronounced dead at the scene. All occupants in the Chevrolet, two adults, and six children, were taken to area hospitals for treatment.
