NASHVILLE, TN – An Uber driver was struck and killed after his vehicle broke down on I-24 early Sunday morning.
According to WZTV, the incident occurred at about 1:30 a.m. near the exit to Haywood Lane.
Police say the driver of a Chevrolet Econoline veered off the roadway and struck the driver who was sitting in his broken down vehicle on the shoulder.
The victim was rushed to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries a short time later.
The man responsible for the crash was taken into custody and faces charges of vehicular homicide by intoxication and driving without a license.
