NASHVILLE, TN – A woman was struck and killed while waiting on an I-40 Wednesday night.
According to a report by WTVF, the crash occurred when the driver of a 2011 Cadilac sedan lost control of his vehicle on the I-40 exit ramp to Charlotte Pike.
The driver told police his brakes went out, causing the vehicle to swerve into the grass shoulder and hit a woman who was sitting on a milk crate. The woman was rushed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she died a short time later.
The driver was also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
