BELLEVUE, TN – A man was arrested last Thursday night following a police pursuit and fiery crash in Bellevue.
According to a report by WKRN, the driver fled the police after dropping off an unresponsive person at the hospital.
Moments after the chase ensued, the suspect crashed at a high rate of speed on Sawyer Brown Road, near Todd Preis Drive.
The 22-year-old driver attempted to flee on foot but was caught a short time later.
Officers discovered drugs and a loaded handgun in the vehicle. The driver was booked into Metro jail on charges of evading arrest, drug possession, and weapon possession.
It is unclear if anyone was injured in the crash.
