NASHVILLE, TN – One person has died after a two-vehicle crash involving a Metro Nashville Public Schools bus Wednesday morning.
According to FOX 17, the fatal crash occurred at 3020 Elm Hill Pike around 5:45 AM on November 17th.
The driver of an SUV reportedly tried to move into the same lane as the school bus. The two vehicles subsequently collided side-on.
The driver of the SUV unfortunately died at the scene.
The driver of the school bus has been hospitalized. Their condition remains unknown.
There was one student aboard the bus at the time of the accident, and they suffered no injuries.
Tennessee Highway Patrol and Metro Police continue to investigate the accident. Authorities are currently trying to determine how fast the school bus was traveling at the time of the crash.
