NASHVILLE, TN – A hit and run crash involving an SUV and a semi truck was reported on I-24 East in the early hours of Sunday morning.
According to WKRN, the two-vehicle crash took place on I-24 eastbound near mile marker 8 shortly after 2:00 AM on November 21st.
The SUV reportedly side swiped the semi truck. The SUV subsequently exited the roadway where the vehicle burst into flames. The driver of the SUV then fled the scene on foot.
First responders extinguished the fire and confirmed there were no other passengers inside the SUV.
It is unclear if the driver of the semi truck suffered any injuries.
Authorities continue to search for the driver of the SUV.
