NASHVILLE, TN – A motorcyclist who suffered injuries in a collision with a garbage truck earlier this month died Monday morning.
According to WKRN, the crash took place on Nolensville Pike at Higgins Street on November 12th.
The garbage truck was reportedly turning left onto Higgins Street when it collided with the oncoming motorcycle. The motorcyclist attempted to brake, but lost control of the vehicle. The motorcycle subsequently slid underneath the garbage truck.
The motorcyclist suffered critical injuries and was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. They unfortunately succumbed to their injuries on Monday, November 22nd.
Metro police have confirmed that the motorcyclist had the right of way and the driver of the garbage truck failed to yield.
Authorities continue to investigate the fatal accident.
