NASHVILLE, TN – A Metro police officer suffered serious injuries after they were struck during a police pursuit Monday afternoon.
According to WKRN, the collision occurred on Cowan Street on November 29th.
The police officer was setting up spike strips in the roadway when the vehicle struck them.
The officer suffered a broken leg and several fractured ribs. They were released from the hospital Tuesday afternoon.
The vehicle involved in the collision was originally stolen in Wilson County. The driver is charged with attempted homicide, felony evading arrest, and driving on a revoked license. They are currently in custody with bond set at $513,000.
