NASHVILLE, TN – One person has died and another sustained injuries in a wrong way crash on I-40 early Friday morning.
According to WKRN, the crash took place on I-40 eastbound near mile marker 145 around 6:00 AM on December 3rd.
The victim was reportedly driving west in the eastbound lane. Their vehicle collided head-on with another vehicle.
The victim was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. They unfortunately succumbed to their injuries shortly after.
An occupant of the vehicle that was struck suffered serious injuries. They are currently hospitalized. Their condition is unknown.
Tennessee Highway Patrol and Metro police continue to investigate the fatal crash.
