NASHVILLE, TN – An underage driver died and an underage passenger suffered injuries in a single-vehicle crash Saturday morning.
According to WKRN, the crash took place on Old Hickory Boulevard near Cane Ridge Road around 7:00 AM on January 1st.
The driver reportedly lost control while traveling around a curve on Old Hickory Boulevard. The vehicle exited the roadway, crashed into a tree, and caught fire.
Police state that excessive speed and slippery road conditions contributed to the crash.
The driver was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene.
The passenger sustained non-life threatening injuries and is currently in stable condition.
