SUMNER CO., TN – One person has died after a single-vehicle accident on Highway 76 in Sumner County Monday morning.
According to WKRN, the fatal crash took place on Highway 76 near The River at Portland Non-denominational Fellowship on January 3rd.
The vehicle veered off of the roadway and crashed into a pond. It is unclear if the victim died at the scene or following hospitalization.
Police state that slippery roads most likely contributed to the fatal crash.
The accident remains under investigation by Tennessee Highway Patrol and Sumner County police.
