NASHVILLE, TN – A multi-vehicle collision resulted in significant traffic delays on I-40 West Thursday morning.
According to WKRN, the accident took place on I-40 westbound near mile marker 94 at 7:14 AM on January 6th.
The events leading up to the accident are unclear at this time. Authorities state that heavy snow and slippery road conditions likely contributed to the crash.
The total number and severity of injuries remain unknown.
All lanes of I-40 westbound are currently closed. The left and right shoulders are open for traffic to clear the scene.
