NASHVILLE, TN – Five people suffered injuries in an accident involving a public bus, a firetruck, and another vehicle Thursday morning.
According to the Tennessean, the crash took place on Jefferson Street near Third Avenue North around 8:40 AM on January 6th.
A Nashville Fire Department firetruck reportedly rear-ended a WeGo public transit bus. The bus subsequently spun out, blocking the roadway and striking another vehicle.
The bus driver and two passengers as well as two firefighters suffered injuries. All five people were transported to the hospital from the scene.
Authorities state that heavy snow and icy roads contributed to the crash.
