NASHVILLE, TN – A portion of I-24 is shut down after a tractor trailer overturned in a single-vehicle crash Thursday morning.
According to WKRN, the crash took place on I-24 westbound near the Thompson Lane exit around 3:00 AM on January 27th.
At this time, it is unclear what caused the tractor trailer to overturn.
The severity of injuries is unknown at this time.
Approximately three miles of roadway surrounding the crash remain closed. It is unclear when I-24 will reopen. Authorities request that local drivers use alternate routes.
Tennessee Highway Patrol and Metro police continue to investigate the accident.
