NASHVILLE, TN – A pedestrian has died after they were struck by a vehicle in a gas station parking lot Friday morning.
According to FOX 17, the collision occurred in a gas station parking lot in the 2100 block of Charlotte Avenue on February 4th.
The driver of a Chrysler 300 reportedly struck the pedestrian while backing up. The driver states they were unable to see the pedestrian behind them.
The pedestrian was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with serious injuries. They unfortunately passed away on Monday, February 7th.
Police report that the driver showed no signs of impairment. At this time, it is unclear if they will face charges.
Metro police continue to investigate the fatal collision.
