MOUNT PLEASANT, TN – A Mount Pleasant house fire that left two people dead Monday morning remains under investigation.
According to WSMV, the fire broke out at a home located in the 1900 block of Errel Dowlen Road around 9:00 AM on February 7th.
The Mount Pleasant Fire Department discovered two bodies within the house. The victims have yet to be identified.
Local authorities requested that the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation continue to investigate the fire after suspicious items were discovered in the home. At this time, it is unclear if police suspect foul play.
The Coopertown Police Department and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation continue to investigate the fatal house fire.
