The news outlet spoke with Grant Rosenblatt, who has lived in Nashville for years and currently owns four open-air buses that travel downtown, there are rules set for passengers that promote safety.
Rosenblatt said, “We don’t let them straddle benches. We don’t let them stand up on the cup holders. All of our rail height is a legal rail height.” However, with the mix of party buses and drivers who are trying to get to their destination, you can imagine there is the risk with the two types of vehicles sharing the roadway.
When the news source spoke with a vendor who sells bracelets for charity on Broadway, she said “I definitely think the pedal taverns can be unsafe as you’re driving through. It’s really difficult to tell where they are all the time.” She also said, “I’ve definitely seen people almost fall off the pedal taverns as they’re on them.”
How can drivers help avoid an accident with one of these party rides?
Despite the fact that many think these modes of transportation may be dangerous or risky for riders, they are allowed to operate throughout the city of Nashville. And because we cannot afford to have any more accidents occur, here are a few things you can do to keep these party riders safe.

- If you have errands to run and would rather avoid sharing the roadway with these vehicles, you do have two open windows when they are not permitted to operate. According to Fox 17, the vehicles cannot run between 7:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. as well as between 4:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
