NASHVILLE, TN – Multiple lanes were shut down as the result of a vehicle fire on Briley Parkway in northwest Nashville on Wednesday afternoon.
According to Total Traffic Nashville, the fire was reported at about 3 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of the freeway, near the Ashland city Highway exit.

Few details regarding the cause of the fire are available at this time. However, all eastbound lanes were closed for some time afterward, causing traffic to build up going back to County Hospital Road.
No injuries were reported as an immediate result of the blaze.
