WILLIAMSPORT, TN – One motorcyclist was killed and two others rushed to the hospital following a collision involving 4 vehicles in Williamsport on Saturday.
According to a report by WKRN, the incident took place at about 3:43 p.m. within the 4000 block of Williamsport Pike, east of Natchez Trace Parkway.
Investigators believe one motorcyclist crossed into the oncoming lanes and collided with a pickup truck. Debris from the wreck caused two other motorcyclists to wreck immediately afterward.
The rider of the first motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene. The other two motorcyclists were rushed to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
The roadway was closed for several hours while emergency crews worked to clear the scene.
