Although the COVID-19 pandemic has shuttered businesses and forced many people to spend endless hours indoors, one of Page Six’s most recently shared articles serves as a reminder that car accidents continue to claim lives and we must remember to be cautious and careful when out driving.
On Sunday evening, reality TV star Ashley “Minnie” Ross was rushed to Atlanta’s Grady Memorial Hospital following the occurrence of a car wreck with another motorist. The incident transpired near Old National Highway in Atlanta, although the other driver involved fled the scene. Nearly 24 hours after the wreck, Ross succumbed to her injuries. Ross’ publicist shared that an eyewitness told police that the other driver is the one who caused the collision and then left without identifying themselves.
Police have not yet provided any additional information on who that driver is.
After learning of her death, many friends, family members, and co-stars took to social media to express their condolences. A post was shared from her management team on her Instagram account stating, “It is with profound sadness that we confirm on behalf of the family of Ashley Ross aka ‘Ms. Minnie’ of Little Women Atlanta has succumbed to injuries from a tragic hit and run car accident today at the age of 34.”
Ross was one of the founding cast members of “Little Women,” which is a Lifetime reality TV show based in Georgia, says USA Today. The show “chronicles the lives of women with dwarfism.”
