NASHVILLE, TN – A woman died after being struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross I-40 last Friday night.
According to a report by Crime 615, the incident occurred at about 8:45 p.m. when the unidentified female victim attempted to cross the eastbound lanes of the freeway near 28th Avenue.
The 43-year-old woman was struck by a Chevrolet Trailblazer and a semi-truck. Both drivers stopped and cooperated with the police.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
