KNOXVILLE, TN – A collision on I-75 in Loudon County sent six people to the hospital late Tuesday afternoon.
According to a report by WVLT, the three-vehicle crash took place at about 12:30 p.m.. just south of the exit to Loudon Highway.
Troops with THP say a tractor-trailer, an SUV, and a minivan collided in a chain-reaction, rear-end crash. Of the eight individuals involved in the crash, six people were taken to nearby hospitals.
The extent of the injuries sustained in the crash is unclear at this time.
Traffic was delayed in the area for several hours. All lanes were reopened by 5:45 p.m.
