NASHVILLE, TN – Two people suffered injuries after a two-vehicle accident on Dickerson Pike Monday afternoon.
According to FOX 17, the crash took place in the 1300 block of Dickerson Pike around 2:30 PM on December 6th.
Witnesses report that a Chevy Camaro was driving recklessly when it struck a Nissan Altima. A Metro police officer witnessed the accident. When the officer approached the Camaro, the driver pulled out a gun. The officer then shot the driver in the leg.
The driver of the Camaro was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. They are currently in stable condition. Upon release, they will be arrested for federal gun and drug charges unrelated to the accident.
A passenger in the Nissan Altima under the age of 18 was transported to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. Their current condition is unknown.
Tennessee Highway Patrol and the Metro Police Department continue to investigate the accident.
