NASHVILLE, TN – Crews were wrapping up an overnight project on I-24 when a vehicle slammed into the worksite early Thursday morning.
According to Total Traffic Nashville, the accident occurred shortly before 5:30 a.m. in the westbound lanes of the interstate, near the exit to Hickory Hollow Parkway.

It is unclear what caused the driver to veer off the roadway and into the construction zone. However, no injuries have been reported as an immediate result.
Delays were reported in the area while emergency crews worked to clear the roadway.
