ELMWOOD, TN – Two people were killed as the result of a single-vehicle crash in Smith County early Sunday morning, WTVF reports.
The crash occurred at about 3:20 a.m. along Sullivan Bend Road.
Investigators with THP believe the 28-year-old male driver lost control of his vehicle for unknown reasons and skidded off the road and down an embankment.
The vehicle then careened into a roadside tree, killing both passengers. The driver suffered unknown injuries in the crash.
It is unclear if any charges will be filed against the driver at this time.
