MT. JULIET, TN – One person died following a major tractor-trailer crash in Mt. Juliet on Wednesday morning.
According to WZTV, the crash occurred in the westbound lanes of I-40 at the Mt. Juliet Road overpass.
Investigators say the truck collided with a bridge column and the overpass before catching fire on the interstate.
One person was killed as a result of the crash. It is unclear if they were a driver or passenger in the truck.
This situation is still developing. Drivers have been advised to proceed with caution in the area as delays are likely throughout Wednesday morning.
