FRIENDSVILLE, TN – A man was killed after his vehicle slammed into a tree in the Friendsville area on Sunday evening.
According to a report by the Daily Times, the accident took place at about 5 p.m. when the 23-year-old driver veered out of his lane on West Hill Avenue.
The driver overcorrected, causing the vehicle to swerve off the road and down a grassy hill. The vehicle then struck multiple smaller trees before colliding with a cement pillar then into a large tree.
Police believe the man was intoxicated at the time of the crash. He was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.
