NASHVILLE, TN – A motorcyclist was killed and a teen arrested following an early morning crash on Sunday.
According to WSMV, the incident took place as the motorcyclist was outbound on Murfeesboro Pike and was struck by a GMC Sierra attempting to turn onto Glengarry Drive.
The motorcycle slammed into the side of the pickup. The unidentified rider was rushed to Vanderbilt Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries a short time later.
The driver of the pickup fled the scene but contacted police from his apartment a short time later. He was also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect was arrested upon his release from the hospital and is currently facing charges of vehicular homicide by intoxication, leaving the scene of a crash involving death, and more.
