NASHVILLE, TN – A man was hit and killed while running across a busy Nashville interstate early Monday afternoon.
Fox 17 Nashville reports, the accident took place at about 12:15 p.m. on I-24 West near the exit to Murfreesboro Pike.
Responding officers say the 40-year-old man was running across the freeway when he was hit by a 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is being withheld at this time.
The driver in the PT Cruiser fled on foot while officers were looking at their information. It is unclear if that individual will face any charges at this time.
