NASHVILLE, TN – Tennessee Highway Patrol continues to investigate a nine-vehicle crash that took place Thursday evening.
According to WKRN, the crash occurred on I-65 near Old Hickory Boulevard on January 6th.
Seven cars and two commercial vehicles were involved in the accident. The events leading up to the crash are unclear. However, authorities state it is likely that the heavy snow and slick roadway contributed to the collision.
The total number and severity of injuries are unknown at this time.
Tennessee Highway Patrol warns local drivers to not drive unless absolutely necessary. The roadways remain slippery and hazardous.
The accident remains under investigation.
