NOLENSVILLE, TN – Metro police arrested a driver after a DUI crash left an underage passenger injured Tuesday evening.
According to WKRN, the single-vehicle crash took place on Battle Road in Nolensville on November 16th. The driver crashed into two concrete walls on the side of the road.
When Metro police arrived at the scene of the crash, they discovered several containers of alcohol inside the vehicle. Police also report the driver appeared inebriated and was slurring their speech.
The underage passenger was in the back seat at the time of the crash. They suffered minor injuries, including bruising to the neck and stomach. They were transported to Tristar Centennial Hospital to receive treatment. Their current condition is unknown.
The driver was arrested and placed in jail.
Tennessee Highway Patrol and Metro police continue to investigate the crash.
