MURFREESBORO, TN – One person has died after a two-vehicle accident that took place on I-24 eastbound Wednesday morning.
According to WSMV, the fatal crash took place on I-24 East near mile marker 88 on January 12th.
A 2020 Nissan Pathfinder reportedly crashed into a stationary 2011 Freightliner in the right lane. The Freightliner had stalled out due to a mechanical failure.
The driver of the Nissan Pathfinder unfortunately succumbed to their injuries sustained in the accident.
The driver of the Freightliner was uninjured.
The accident remains under investigation by Tennessee Highway Patrol.
