NASHVILLE, TN – One person has died after their vehicle exited the roadway and crashed into Mill Creek early Monday morning.
According to WKRN, the fatal crash took place at the intersection of Haywood Lane and Antioch Pike around 1:00 AM on October 18th. The sedan was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed when it crashed into the guardrail and overturned off the bridge, landing in the water below.
The events leading up to the accident remain unclear. Metro Police report that the driver did not attempt to use their brakes in the moments prior to the collision.
First responders are still working to recover the vehicle from the creek.
The intersection reopened to traffic at 6:30 AM.
