SPRINGFIELD, TN – One person suffered serious injuries in a single-vehicle rollover crash in Springfield Saturday afternoon.
According to The Smokey Barn News, the crash took place on Experiment Station Road around 2:30 PM on November 27th.
The vehicle exited the roadway and rolled down a steep embankment before crashing into several trees, narrowly missing Wartrace Creek. The driver suffered minor injuries, but was able to exit the overturned vehicle on their own. Their current condition is unknown.
Authorities shut down Experiment Station Road for several hours Saturday afternoon in order to clear the scene and remove the vehicle.
Tennessee Highway Patrol continues to investigate the near-fatal crash.
