NASHVILLE, TN – At least 100 people were evacuated after a 76-unit apartment fire in the Belmont area on Monday night.
According to WKRN, the fire broke out at 9:30 PM at the Belcourt Park Apartments on Belcourt Avenue. The fire began in a communal area on the first floor of the building.
The cause of the blaze is unknown at this time. However, the building sustained heavy water damage, forcing Nashville Electric Service to cut the power.
Over 100 people were evacuated from 76 units. The American Red Cross was brought in to assist the displaced residents.
It is unclear if anyone suffered injuries as a result of the fire.
