NASHVILLE, TN – A pedestrian was struck and killed in the Madison area Saturday night after exiting their vehicle.
According to WKRN, the fatal collision took place at the intersection of Neelys Bend Road and Larkin Spring Road the night of November 13th.
The pedestrian reportedly exited their vehicle to pick up an item that had fallen out of their car. A Nissan Altima subsequently struck the pedestrian in the intersection.
Metro police report that the driver of the Nissan showed no signs of impairment. They remained at the scene of the crash.
The pedestrian was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for emergency treatment. They unfortunately succumbed to their injuries on Thursday.
Tennessee Highway Patrol continues to investigate the accident.
