NASHVILLE, TN – A pedestrian has died after they were struck by a pickup truck while crossing the road late Wednesday night.
According to FOX 17, the fatal collision took place on Acklen Park Drive near Hillcrest Place on January 19th.
A Toyota Tundra pickup truck reportedly came to a full stop before turning left and striking the pedestrian. The driver claims not to have seen the pedestrian in the roadway. Police state that there were no signs of impairment.
The pedestrian suffered serious injuries as a result of the collision. They were taken to the hospital where they unfortunately passed away Thursday morning.
Tennessee Highway Patrol and Metro police continue to investigate the fatal accident.
