SUMNER CO., TN – A pedestrian suffered injuries after they were struck by a semi-truck on Highway 109 Thursday morning.
According to WKRN, the collision took place on Highway 109 near Old Highway 109 North 7 on December 23rd.
The pedestrian’s vehicle had reportedly broken down. They were walking in a northbound lane when the semi-truck struck them.
The pedestrian’s current status is unknown.
The northbound lanes of Highway 109 were shut down for several hours while first responders cleared the scene.
The accident remains under investigation by Tennessee Highway Patrol.
