NASHVILLE, TN – A Metro police officer suffered injuries after a drunk driver crashed into their vehicle early Sunday morning.
According to News Channel 5, the collision took place on I-40 around 2:35 AM on October 31st. The exact location of the accident is not known at this time.
The Metro police officer was reportedly checking in on a pedestrian in the roadway when a pickup truck rear-ended their vehicle.
Tennessee Highway Patrol has since charged the driver of the pickup truck with driving under the influence.
The Metro police officer suffered injuries and is reportedly resting at home. It is unclear if the officer was hospitalized for their injuries.
