SUMNER CO., TN – A semi-truck crash on I-65 in Sumner County caused significant traffic delays Tuesday morning.
According to FOX 17, the single-vehicle accident occurred on I-65 southbound near Williamson Road on November 16th.
The semi-truck jackknifed in the roadway and one of the fuel tanks ruptured. It is unclear what caused the vehicle to crash.
150 gallons of fuel leaked onto the roadway. One lane remains closed as first responders work to clean up the fuel spill and clear the scene.
It is unclear if the driver of the semi truck suffered injuries as a result of the accident.
Tennessee Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
