NASHVILLE, TN – At least seven people sustained injuries in a twelve-vehicle crash on I-40 eastbound Monday afternoon.
According to FOX 17, the crash took place on I-40 eastbound near mile marker 202 in the afternoon of December 13th.
The crash was reportedly caused by a dump truck that overturned and spilled gravel into the roadway.
One of the eleven other vehicles involved in the crash was a Metro Nashville Public Schools bus. The bus driver, a school monitor, and a student all suffered minor injuries and were taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Four other people also suffered minor injuries. They were also taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. All injured persons are currently in stable condition.
Tennessee Highway Patrol and Metro police continue to investigate the accident.
