PUTNAM CO., TN – A truck driver was killed yesterday when his vehicle collided with the Highway 56 overpass on eastbound I-40, WKRN reports.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the 52-year-old trucker had been traveling in the far-right lane at about 3 p.m. Monday when he lost control of his vehicle. The semi ran off the right side of the roadway and crashed into the Hwy 56 overpass, killing the driver.
Further investigations are ongoing.
