COOPERTOWN, TN – A woman was hospitalized via helicopter after being injured in a rollover collision near Coopertown on Wednesday afternoon.
Local media report that the collision occurred on Jack Teasley Road shortly after 5 p.m. Emergency responders say that the vehicle’s driver seems to have lost control during a bend in the road, causing the vehicle to go airborne, roll end-over-end several times, and then strike a tree. Photos of the scene show the vehicle lying on its roof.
The 33-year-old female driver was taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center for treatment. While her condition is not known at this time, she was apparently alert and able to talk as she was transported.
