    GREENBRIER, TN – Two people suffered injuries after a single-vehicle crash in the Greenbrier subdivision Saturday night.

    According to Smokey Barn News, the crash took place on Franklin Drive around 11:00 PM on January 22nd.

    The vehicle reportedly exited the roadway and crashed into a tree head-on. Police indicate that they believe excessive speed and alcohol consumption contributed to the crash.

    The driver was transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center while the passenger was taken to TriStar NorthCrest. Both the driver and passenger are under the age of eighteen. 

    The accident remains under investigation. The driver potentially faces charges pending the outcome.

    Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run crash

    NASHVILLE, TN – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a pickup truck in a hit-and-run collision in Nashville Friday night.

    According to WSMV, the fatal crash took place on Elm Hill Pike on January 21st.

    The pedestrian was reportedly walking in the right turn lane at the time of the crash. There are no sidewalks on that portion of Elm Hill Pike. A Dodge pickup truck struck the pedestrian and subsequently fled the scene. 

    First responders transported the pedestrian to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. They unfortunately succumbed to their injuries shortly after.

    The driver of the Dodge pickup truck returned to the scene and confessed to hitting the pedestrian. Police report that the driver showed signs of impairment.

    The driver has been charged with driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident involving death.

    Injuries reported in I-24 crash

    NASHVILLE, TN – There are reports of injuries after a multi-vehicle collision on I-24 westbound Friday morning.

    According to Nashville and Davidson County Traffic Reporting, the crash took place on I-24 West near Whites Creek Pike at 10:47 AM on January 21st.

    The events leading up to the crash are currently unclear. At least two vehicles were involved in the accident.

    Similarly, it is unclear how many people suffered injuries or if there have been any hospitalizations.

    Pedestrian struck and killed in Nashville

    NASHVILLE, TN – A pedestrian has died after they were struck by a pickup truck while crossing the road late Wednesday night.

    According to FOX 17, the fatal collision took place on Acklen Park Drive near Hillcrest Place on January 19th.

    A Toyota Tundra pickup truck reportedly came to a full stop before turning left and striking the pedestrian. The driver claims not to have seen the pedestrian in the roadway. Police state that there were no signs of impairment.

    The pedestrian suffered serious injuries as a result of the collision. They were taken to the hospital where they unfortunately passed away Thursday morning.

    Two-vehicle crash reported on I-65

    WILLIAMSON CO., TN – A portion of I-65 was shut down after a two-vehicle crash near the Davidson-Williamson county line late Wednesday night.

    According to WKRN, the crash took place on I-65 northbound near the Concord Road exit just before 12:00 AM on January 19th. 

    The events leading up to the crash are unclear at this time.

    Authorities have yet to report the number and severity of injuries.

    All northbound lanes of I-65 reopened by 6:00 AM on January 20th. 

    The crash remains under investigation by Tennessee Highway Patrol. More details will be released as the investigation continues.
