MURFREESBORO, TN – Two people suffered critical injuries in a five-vehicle crash in Murfreesboro Thursday morning.
According to WKRN, the crash took place at the intersection of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Broad Street around 6:00 AM on January 20th.
A car and a pickup truck reportedly collided head-on and subsequently burst into flames. Three other vehicles then crashed into the burning vehicles.
The driver and passenger of the car were transported to the hospital with critical injuries. Their current conditions are unknown.
Broad Street reopened to traffic around 11:30 AM.
Tennessee Highway Patrol and the Murfreesboro Police fatal reconstruction team continue to investigate the crash.
