MAURY CO., TN – One person suffered minor injuries after their vehicle crashed into a creek Monday morning. 

According to WKRN, the crash took place on Enterprise Road near Golf Club Road around 5:30 AM on January 3rd. 

A Jeep reportedly exited the roadway and veered into Sugar Creek. The vehicle was submerged above the tires.

Maury County EMS and the Mount Pleasant Fire Department were able to rescue the driver from the partially frozen creek.

The unidentified driver suffered a broken ankle. They are currently in stable condition.

Tennessee Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.

NASHVILLE, TN – One person has been arrested after a vehicle crashed into the Downtown Detention Center Monday afternoon.

According to WKRN, the vehicle crashed into the Downtown Detention Center on James Robertson Parkway on January 3rd.

Police state that the driver was under the influence of drugs and alcohol at the time of the crash. The driver was taken into custody from the scene.

It is unclear if the driver or anyone else in the building suffered injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.

NASHVILLE, TN – One person has died after a fatal single-vehicle crash on Mount View Road early Friday morning.

According to WKRN, the fatal accident occurred on Mount View Road near Baby Ruth Lane on December 31st.

The driver lost control of a 2013 Nissan Altima while traveling around a curve. The vehicle exited the roadway and crashed into a tree.

The passenger was able to escape from the vehicle. They ran to a nearby apartment complex to seek help. Police arrived at the scene around 6:45 AM. 

The driver was unfortunately pronounced dead upon police arrival.

NASHVILLE, TN – One person has died after a wrong-way collision on I-24 in the early hours of Saturday morning.

According to FOX 17, the fatal crash took place on I-24 westbound near Lickton Pike around 2:45 AM on January 1st.

An SUV was driving east in the westbound lanes and collided head-on with a pickup truck. 

The driver of the pickup truck unfortunately died at the scene.

The driver of the SUV suffered non-life threatening injuries and is currently hospitalized.

Police report that the driver of the SUV showed signs of impairment at the scene. The SUV driver admitted to having eight or nine drinks before driving that night.

Metro police are charging the SUV driver with aggravated vehicular homicide upon their release from the hospital.

According to WKRN, the crash took place on Old Hickory Boulevard near Cane Ridge Road around 7:00 AM on January 1st.

Police state that excessive speed and slippery road conditions contributed to the crash.
